Yes I am bi
No it does not matter
Every person is as good as the latter
I love differently
Yet I think the same
Many may say it but I am not insane
It's not a phase
or a lust for sex
It is me on the inside being myself
You think I would choose this?
In a way, you may be right.
I chose to face your hatred and prejudice head-on.
I chose to turn my back on society's norms.
I chose to acknowledge that I'm never going to be normal.
I chose to ignore the pressure coming at me on all sides:
"You're just faking it to get attention, you slut."
"What, you couldn't just come out? Afraid or something?"
"You're just confused, hun. Eventually, you'll find a nice boy..."
I chose to risk losing everyone I ever cared for.
I chose to get weird looks from my peers.
I chose to throw out my chances of having equal legal standing.
I chose to stand up and demand equality.
